Payton Raiders

Peyton Raiders came oh so close to claiming the title at the first time of asking in their 2021 Challenge. A long-term strategy saw the side dead last after the Wildcard Round but go on to put up dominant scores in the Conference Round and the Super Bowl. The performance made them the first team to win 2 rounds in the first 2 seasons of the Playoff Challenge. The Conference Round score set a new single-round record. They eventually ended up missing out on the title by just 3 points - in a game where the final meaningful play cost them a net of 4. In a more sedate 2022, the Raiders never truly threatened the top of the table, going through largely mid-table. 2023 saw a series of big scores and a 2nd place in the Super Bowl but in such a high scoring year it was a 4th place finish for the new Payton Raiders. 2024 was no the Raiders year. They were mid-table pretty much throughout in a year of some extraordinary scoring at the top.
