About FAF

Fantasy American Football is a game of stat analysis and risk-based decision-making using NFL games and the data they generate for individual players to tally points for each team. RBB FAF uses the Sleeper app to tally the points from the matches each week with the scoring system available on the league page. We use Highlander Rules meaning that there can be only one of each player. It is a redraft league so each team picks players each season starting with the draft. The draft is great to participate in live so do join it if you can as it's a lot of fun.

RBB FAF started in 2019 as the spiritual successor to the AD FAF league. It was the first competition the RBB community came to and so is a flagship for RBB activity. The 2010 season saw ten teams compete in one division with a four team playoff based on best record to determine the champion. In 2020 the league expanded to two divisions each with twele teams. At the end of the 2020 season, two teams were promoted from Division 2 to Division 1 with two teams dropping down from the top tier through the four team relegation playouts. 2021 sees further expansion with Division Three joining the league.

The league operates using Sleeper with the points system being maintained from the inaugural season on nfl.com. Players accrue points for yardage, TDs, receptions as well as negatives for fumbles and interceptions. The objective each week is to outscore the opponent in order to get the win. Total points are a secondary matter as it is all about the win-loss record to get that place in the playoffs or to avoid the relegation playouts.

RBB Community principles are in effect - everyone tries to win and not undermine each other but nobody worries too much when they fall short. Banter is always welcome.
