Rugby is the only sport were game participants in the 2019 season and managed to defeat New England twice on the year. Against some of the higher powered teams and coaches the going was a little tougher and the side eventually ended up with the wooden spoon. In 2020, the team racked up twice as many wins but an unlucky combination of results saw them into the playouts where they were defeated by the FSW Trainees and bounced out of Division 1. During their first Division 2 season in 2021, the team were just able to avoid another playout but a couple of consolation wins saw them take a creditable 5th placed finish. Rugby looked like real contenders for much of 2022 but a 6-4 record turned into 7-7 and a respectable mid table position. In a highly competitive D2 in 2023, Rugby were a little unlucky to slip into the playouts. The team rallied to convincingly defeat Draft Excluders and maintain themselves in the second tier. A rough start to 2024 was a millstone for the remainder of the season. Despite some strong outings including the 2nd highest score in franchise history, Rugby slipped into the playouts for the second season in a row. They showed up when it mattered though with a big score to defeat Braydon Crusaders and survive once more in D2.
