The Anomalies

Edmonton Moose made their debut in 2020. It was not an easy season as the side found themselves in the bottom four for much of the year. They ralleid fairly well though and a playout win against the Scarbringer Savages maintained their Division One status. A stronger 2021 season as the franchise changed its name to The Anomalies saw the side just a game back of the playoffs. The Anomalies carried on their mid table respectability in 2022 but only just as they ended up avoiding the playouts on points scored but it was enough to ensure the franchise continued its presence in D1. Anomalies were spectacular in 2023. They put up the best record in D1 at 11-3 powered by an 8 game winning start. Anomalies were favourites heading into the playoffs but found the occasion too much, losing out to Phoenix Knights. It was another step forward in 2024. Despite a slightly worse record at 9-5 it was again a playoff spot for the Canadians. There was a moment when the playoffs looked to be heading out of reach but a couple of key late season wins garned a semi final spot where they went big to land a place in their first final. It was a high quality matchup but Anomalies were outscored by Ultimate Unicorns and had to settle for their best finishing position to date of 2nd.
