FSW Trainees

The FSW Trainees were contenders in the early going of the first season before eventually narrowly missing out on the playoffs. Their sister organisation in the Playoff Challenge were the first winners of that competition and their heritage in AD FAF includes winning the first ever season of that competition. 2020 was a much more difficult season with a record breaking losing streak marooning the Trainees at the bottom of the table but a playout win against Rugby is the real sport maintained their Div 1 status. 2021 was a bleak year for the Trainees. They found themselves bottom of the table yet again but this time went down to defeat in the playouts against Phoenix Knights leading to relegation to Divsion Two. The Trainees first season in Division Two started off well but yet another late season slide saw them slip into the playouts. The franchise's superior experience in playout games told when they were able to overcome Popcorn Hills and remain in D2. A better year in 2023 gave the Trainees their first 10 win as they finished just a few points off the best record. Had they secured best record they may have won promotion but as it was they missed out to the Ultimate Unicorns. It was the first time FSW had found itself in a FAF playoff. The experience from 2023 held the Trainees in terrific stead. They battled hard throughout 2024 and made the playoffs dramatically with a week 14 win against the Irregulars followed by the same in the semi finals before going on to defeat Gou Chou Pi and become D2 winners. 2024 marked the first year of silverware for the Trainees.
