Hasland Irregulars

The Gombe Irregulars were originally known as the MLA Irregulars before setting up their homebase in the Congolese capital Kinshasa. The team finished top of the league standings in the inaugural regular season with an 11-3 record. The team took another step forward in 2020 after squeezing into the playoffs and then knocking out the top ranked Unforced Errors before ending up runners-up to the Muswell Hillbillies. The Irregulars slipped back to the middle of the pack in 2021, missing out on the playoffs for the first time. 2022 was a dramatic year for the Irregulars. The franchise upped sticks from Gombe and settled itself into new surrounds, becoming the Maseru Irregulars. The team's performance suffered with a 5-9 season leading to a playout place where a loss to the Darkstalkers meant the Irregulars were relegated to Division Two. The Irregulars first season in D2 during 2023 was creditable if unspectacular. The team were in playoff contention much of the way but an 8-6 season was not enough to reach the playoffs. Maseru's points total was its lowest to date. 2024 was a bit of a bounceback for the Irregulars who made it to the playoffs with a 10-4 record, their first 10 win season since 2019. The Irregulars fell just before the finish line though. Losing to the FSW Trainees in week 14 and then again in the semi finals to find themselves eliminated by the eventual D2 winners.
